Prior to the E3 rumors swirled that a new Superman video game was going to be unleashed with gameplay footage from Rocksteady Studios, the maker behind the popular Batman Arkham franchise.
The E3 came and went, and there was no big Superman reveal, and actually, Rocksteady didnât even attend the gaming convention.
Now Sefton Hill, game director and co-founder of Rocksteady Studios, has taken to social media to comment why the company didnât attend the E3 this year.
âWe know some of you were disappointed that we were not at E3 this year,â Hill posted on Twitter. âThe whole team has been reading your comments, and all of us here at Rocksteady really appreciate your passion for our next project. Knowing how much it means to you keeps us inspired and energised to deliver a game that you will be proud of. Weâll share it with you as soon as itâs ready.â
As we see from above, whatever game Rocksteady is working on is not ready, so if itâs Superman, a Justice League game or another Batman game, weâre going to have to wait and see.
According to the rumor, the Superman video game footage was supposed to reveal Brainiac attacking Metropolis with the Man of Steel being weakened as a result of the battle. Big Blue was said to be flying and in combat taking on ground and airborne enemies including Brainiacâs drones. A video game website, SupermanGame.com, has also been launched, though presently it is not working, and it is unknown if it is for the game or not. Itâs also been said that the Superman video game will be featured next month on the cover of Game Informer magazine.
