Samuel L. Jackson Thinks Funny Thor: Ragnarok is Sacrilege

For whatever reason, Kevin Feige is choosing to go the goofy route for the Marvel Studios COSMIC movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy had the dancing Star-Lord and the cheesy Nova Corps, and now the third Thor movie is going the same goofball approach.

I already posted how it’s bad news that Thor will be “funniest” in Thor: Ragnarok–and Samuel L. Jackson seems to agree.

Three main Marvel movie actors happen to be in the upcoming Kong: Skull Island movie with Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Brie Larson (Captain Marvel). The trio recently participated in an interview with Sirius XM where the subject of their Marvel movies comes up.

Tom Hiddleston offers that Thor: Ragnarok is “going to be bonkers, but in the best way.” Hiddleston went on to say, “[Director Taika Waititi] is brilliant at comedy.  I think Chris [Hemsworth] has some untapped comedy chops, actually, and they found ways of making the whole world of Thor just hilarious.”

Samuel L. Jackson interjected with, “What?!” Jackson continued, “Sacrilege!” And added, “Humor in the Marvel Universe? That’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Not for you guys. You guys are serious. I am going to speak to someone about that.”

Tom Hiddleston then was quick to state, “Don’t worry there are some very high stakes.”

Honestly, I’ll be disappointed if Thor: Ragnarok turns out to be a parody or a spoof film and makes fun of Thor, the Hulk, etc. I’m big fan of the Planet Hulk Marvel Comics storyline, which was pretty serious and really awesome. It would be nice if one of these days Marvel Studios put out a serious movie as well. Captain America: The Winter Soldier was really good, I’m not sure why we haven’t had something similar.

Thor: Raganarok has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster,  Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Sam Neill in an unknown role.
