Armie Hammer Doesn’t Think Any Of The Super Hero Movies Are Good

Prior to the release of the Justice League movie, many fans were speculating (and hoping) Armie Hammer was going to appear as Green Lantern.

Some fans even hoped Armie Hammer was going to join the DCEU as Captain Marvel (or even play Hank Pym in Marvel’s Ant-Man a while back).

Justice League has now come and gone, and Armie Hammer didn’t appear as Green Lantern, and Captain Marvel (Shazam) is being played by Zachary Levi.

Prior to all those films, Armie Hammer was actually cast as Batman prior to Christian Bale in George Miller’s defunct Justice League Mortal movie.

So is there a future superhero movie for Armie Hammer?

While the actor doesn’t rule a comic book movie completely out, while appearing on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Armie Hammer lets it be known that he doesn’t think any of the superhero movies have been all that good.

“I’m trying to answer in a way that’s not going to get me into trouble,” Hammer said and offered he is not signed on to any comic book flicks. “Alright, f-ck it, might as well go for it. I haven’t seen a superhero movie in a long time where I thought, ‘f-ck, I wish I was in that.’

“For me there’s not like a huge rush,” Hammer continued. “Would I love to own a huge house? Yes, for sure. But at the end of the day, I’m more interested now in my artistic credibility and doing the projects that satiate me as an artist and make me feel like I’m doing what I love…”

Armie Hammer did admit if the right opportunity did present itself – like a George Miller being on board – that he would take on a superhero gig, but presently it’s not in the cards.

“Look if a great director came around and said ‘I have this idea’… but at the end of the day, no one’s asked, and I’m not going out of my way to do it,” Armie Hammer said.

MTV’s Josh Horrowitz, who hosts the podcasts, also suggests that Armie Hammer dodged a bullet by not being in Justice League
