Constantine Officially Cancelled; Being Shopped Around To Other Networks

[page_title]

NBC has officially cancelled Constantine, but the future of the series may not be done just yet.

Today NBC decided not to move forward with Constantine Season 2, which follows the network’s decision not to order a full series for Season 1 earlier in the year. NBC executives previously blamed the live ratings for the decision.

Don’t give up hope just yet as now showrunner Daniel Cerone is shopping Constantine to other networks, with the CW the current favorite.

The CW is already home of The Flash, Arrow, iZombie and the upcoming DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow spinoff, so Constantine could find a home there. In addition, The CW’s ratings requirements aren’t as high as NBC, and The CW is owned in part by Warner Bros. Constantine actually has higher ratings than both Arrow and iZombie, which The CW recently renewed.

Cerone took to his Twitter to note a ratings low at NBC would be a hit at many of the other networks.

Update: Arrow star Stephen Amell offers support for Constantine and to guest star.
