Twitter Destroys Marvel’s Woke ‘She-Hulk’

Well, things aren’t looking too good for Marvel’s She-Hulk as not only is it the second-worst rated MCU project by the fans, but Twitter absolutely destroys it.

As I wrote in my review, the writing is really bad as what went down is that in order to make She-Hulk better than the Hulk (Ruffalo confirmed he’s getting replaced) – in order to fulfill Kevin Feige’s woke Phase 4 agenda – they had to change everything in order to make things fit. It’s like trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

A case in point is how they changed up the origin of She-Hulk so her male cousin, the Hulk, doesn’t save her.

And they also had to come up with that lame idea of how to make Banner a human in order to get it all to work, where I came up with the wonky theory that since Banner used the Gauntlet while as the Hulk, his arm wouldn’t heal, but if he was human, then his arm could heal — even though the Hulk has the strongest healing factor of any Marvel character, including Wolverine. Yeah, it makes no sense.

She-Hulk is better than the Hulk

In order to make it all fit we also saw changes to the Hulk mythos in that when it was explained how She-Hulk is better than the Hulk, they came up with the idea of how their genetics is what makes them a Hulk, so I guess we are led to believe that since Jennifer Walters is a female, she’s going to be a better Hulk, a She-Hulk (her blood heals Hulk). The episode (and Feige’s MCU) also has never touched upon that the reason Banner becomes the various versions of the Hulk is because of his traumatic childhood.

We also saw the Hulk getting run over by a Jeep (seriously?) and at times looking ridiculous. Welcome to Phase 4.

Before we dive into Twitter, worth a mention is that prior to the debut of the series, the showrunner explained everything that went wrong with the show, which is pretty funny, and note, that she always blamed someone else (more here).

My impression of that interview is that she was defending herself because she knows how bad the show is and she’s an industry veteran (she’s no dummy).

What’s Twitter have to say about She-Hulk?

Regarding what Twitter has to say, a lot of fans have a similar reaction as I do, and credit to them for not settling simply because it’s “Marvel.” As I’ve said many times, would you go to your favorite restaurant, and if they served you a pile of doo-doo, eat it simply because it’s your favorite restaurant? No, you would send it back and demand the very best, the reason why you are there in the first place.
