Venom 3: Chiwetel Ejiofor Joins Cast

Venom 3 gets some stellar casting news as Chiwetel Ejiofor joins Tom Hardy and the cast of the third movie in the franchise.

MCU fans know Chiwetel Ejiofor from Doctor Strange as Baron Mordo but Chiwetel Ejiofor will play a different character as Venom 3 is not a part of the MCU but the Sony Pictures Spider-Man spinoff universe.

Deadline says the character Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing is being kept under wraps, but it sounds like a villain role, opposite Tom Hardy.

Details for Venom 3 include the flick is currently in pre-production and will start filming soon.

Tom Hardy returns as the Lethal Protector

No plot details are known but Tom Hardy will of course be back as the alien symbiote and lethal protector as well as Eddie Brock.

Kelly Marcel is the director who wrote the first two movies and who wrote the third movie with a story she came up with along with Tom Hardy, and both are also producing along with Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker. The previous two films brought in aĀ combined $1.36 billion worldwide at the box office.

Other than Tom Hardy and Chiwetel Ejiofor, it has only been announced Juno Temple is in Venom 3 in a lead role which is also unknown.

Sony also hasĀ Kraven the HunterĀ starring Aaron Taylor-JohnsonĀ in the works for Oct. 6, 2023,Ā Madame WebĀ starring Dakota Johnson gets released on Feb. 16, 2024, and a movie starringĀ Bad Bunny as El Muerto is also in the works.

The animatedĀ Spider-Man: Across The Spider-VerseĀ also gets released on June 2.
