Dwayne Johnson and Black Adam King Of U.K. DVD Sales Charts

Dwayne Johnson and Black Adam King Of U.K. DVD Sales Charts

Dwayne Johnson again proves he is king of DC as his Black Adam movie is at the top of the U.K. DVD sales charts, even beating out the likes of Barbie and Oppenheimer.

The Rock’s Black Adam has also topped the Netflix charts.

Black Adam is DC’s biggest flick at the box office in six years, since the release of 2018’s Aquaman. However, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom isn’t far behind, only trailing by around $60 million.

U.K. sales charts

Regarding the Black Adam DVD sales in the U.K., it’s reported the Dwayne Johnson movie is the best-selling DVD in 2023 in the U.K. with 80,000 units sold.

That number beats out Barbie‘s 66,428 units which made over $1.4 billion at the box office while Black Adam made just under $400 million without a China release where Dwayne Johnson is super popular (Aquaman 2 has brought in $54.5 million in China).

There was a time when Dwayne Johnson was going to take over DC films and bring back Henry Cavill as Superman but Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav instead chose to go with James Gunn and the new DCU.

Since Momoa is said to be returning as Lobo in Gunn’s DCU, why not bring in Johnson’s Black Adam? Simply forget about that Henry Cavill post-credit scene and it could work. As we see, there is no doubt Dwayne Johnson is really popular, so wouldn’t it be something if we saw Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam versus David Corenswet’s Superman?

Dwayne Johnson also recently returned to the WWE and is speculated to be battling his cousin, Roman Reigns, at Wrestlemania.
