At the premiere of Iron Claw, John Cena is asked about Peacemaker Seaspon 2 and is confident both in Jams Gunn and that a Season 2 will happen.
Variety caught up with the WWE Superstar turned actor and asked where will we see him again in the DC world.
âMan, I hope we see more Peacemaker,â responded Cena. âI sure as hell had a fun time doing that.â
Following Peacemaker Season 1, James Gunn is now in charge of the DCU.
âI know theyâre shifting around some things around over at DC, but I know that James Gunnâs made some statements that weâre going in for Season 2, and what he says usually he does,â said Cena.
The actor was also asked if he spoke with Gunn, but Cena says he wasnât allowed to speak with Gunn about business for a while because of the strikes.
âWell, there was a time we couldnât talk to each other,â Cena responded when asked if Gunn confirmed to him Peacemaker Season 2 is happening given the nature of all things business. âIâm glad that time is over. And once we can talk again, heâs my friend first and for most, so I just welcomed him back to work and wished him well. Weâll play our cards beyond that.â

Didnât Cena get the memo?
With the strike only recently ending it could be that John Cena didnât get the memo, but James Gunn has already confirmed Peacemaker Season 2 and that Cena is returning.
âXolo Maridueña will continue playing Blue Beetle in the DCU, as Viola Davis will Amanda Waller, and John Cena will Peacemaker,â said Gunn back in September.
In October, Gunn also said he is writing Peacemaker Season 2 now and having so much fun doing it.
John Cena also stars in James Gunnâs The Suicide Squad which is now on Netflix.
