James Gunn’s Man Of Tomorrow Heads To Cincinnati, The Real-Life Hall Of Justice

A Daily Planet truck has been spotted on the road to Cincinnati, and that means James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow looks to be heading back to one of the most important DC locations in the real world.

The fan on X, @darokai_, posted a photo showing a Daily Planet vehicle being hauled down the highway. The post says the truck was spotted in Cincinnati.

The location is a big one for DC fans. Cincinnati is home to Union Terminal, the real-life inspiration for the Hall of Justice from Super Friends.

Cincinnati Museum Center notes that artist Al Gmuer based the Hall of Justice design on the façade of Union Terminal, giving the building a permanent place in DC pop culture.

Man Of Tomorrow Appears To Be Returning To Cincinnati

This would also mark a return trip for Gunn’s Superman universe.

Parts of Superman were filmed in Cincinnati, including scenes at Union Terminal and around the Lytle Tunnel. Local reports at the time noted that Gunn used more than a dozen Ohio locations across Cleveland and Cincinnati for the movie.

In Superman, Union Terminal became the Hall of Justice for the DCU, serving as the base tied to the Justice Gang.

Now, with Man of Tomorrow filming, the sight of a Daily Planet truck headed toward Cincinnati has fans thinking Gunn is going back to the same well.

Ohio Previously Confirmed A Cincinnati Production

The Ohio Department of Development also confirmed back in February that a feature film titled “Exodus” had been awarded $1,991,730.90 in Motion Picture Tax Credit funding for production in Cincinnati.

While the state release does not call the project Man of Tomorrow, the working title has been connected to Gunn’s Superman follow-up. The first Superman filmed under the working title “Genesis,” so “Exodus” would fit the same pattern.
