Vision Series Is ‘Cooking Something’ Exciting Up Teases Paul Bettany

The Vision series is confirmed a go and will film next year. Paul Bettany returns as the titular android, last seen in WandaVision and following the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

THR caught up with the actor who obviously couldn’t say much, but did tease it will be exciting.

“Next year,” Bettany answered when questioned how soon he starts on Vision.

Bettany was also asked if he read the script and shook his head no, “I’m not going to tell you that.”

He continued and joked, “Snitches end up in ditches. I’m not telling you that,” before adding, “We’re cooking up something that I’m really excited about.”

Vision will be the second series to spin off from WandaVision. Currently airing on Disney+ is the Agatha series.

“I love it. I love it and I’m so proud of [showrunner] Jac Schaeffer,” Bettany said. “I am going to watch again because there’s so much for me to learn moving forward into my contribution.”

vision vs ultron

What is the Vision series about?

In addition to Paul Bettany returning in Vision, it has recently been reported by the trades that James Spader will be back as Ultron. It’s also been said Elizabeth Olsen could be back as Scarlet Witch.

The Vision series is also said to center on The Vision (Bettany) trying to regain his memory and humanity.

The last time we saw Vision was at the end of WandaVision. Scarlet Witch had recreated Vision in the series as her husband and the father of her children within her magical reality. Meanwhile, SWORD reassembled Vision’s original dead body to create a new White Vision with the intention of neutralizing Wanda’s creation. In the finale, the two Visions engaged in a battle but eventually reached a mutual understanding. Wanda’s Vision transferred his memories to White Vision, who then recognized himself as the true Vision and flew away, leaving his future uncertain.

Last we saw of James Spader’s Ultron was in Avengers: Age of Ultron when Vision destroyed Ultron’s last remaining body. The two were having a conversation about humanity, with Vision being more sympathetic to the humans, while Ultron was more in contempt.
