“Farewell to all the boobs”

María Gabriela de Faría posted two pics on her Instagram Story revealing her weight loss for the role.

“Farewell to all the boobs lost to fitness,” she said.

The images show María Gabriela de Faría sporting a six-pack with tone arms. She also may have shaved her head for her transformation into The Engineer, as she blocked out the back and side of her head, noting, “no spoilers.”

Recall how Karen Gillan also shaved her head for James Gunn to play the role of Nebula in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Update: She’s not bald, check out a first look of the actress on set:

Who is Angela Spica, The Engineer?

In the comics, Angie Spica replaced her blood with liquid nano-technological robots which gives her the look of having liquid metal skin (think Terminator 2 ) where she uses the tech to often create weapons in combat.

Her powers include using the tech to create duplicates of herself, creating energy force fields and electrical storms, spreading viruses (both biological and technological), growing organs, even time travelling, and more.

She can also absorb a great deal of damage due to her liquid metal skin and she also has the ability to fly and can access the internet.

A previous description for Gunn’s movie said she would be playing a villain role, though what really may be going on is that The Engineer goes up against David Corenswet’s Superman for some reason and isn’t necessarily a straight up villain.
