Suicide Squad Game Sales Bomb: Less Than Marvel’s Avengers

We get some insights into the sales of the new Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League video game in that it is selling less than half of what Marvel’s Avengers sold on day one.

Worth a mention is that both games suffered from bugs at launch, as with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, when players signed on, the game was already completed, and I believe everything was unlocked, hence all the early leaks regarding the player deaths. Rocksteady was forced to take down the game for a while things were so bad.

Marvel’s Avengers, a massive failure

Regarding Marvel’s Avengers, the game was a complete failure even before its release as fans didn’t like the questionable graphics and promotion prior to the release of the game.

Then when they got a chance to play the game, it was more disappointment. Captain America was killed off at the start of the game, and the game became a bait-and-switch that follows Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel reforming The Avengers.

As we’ve seen with the Ms. Marvel Disney+ show and The Marvels, no one is a fan of Ms. Marvel and the character fails time and time again, just like in the comics.

Similar political angle

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has a similar political angle as the game was created by a woke SJW consulting studio, Sweet Baby Inc.

The members of the Justice League suffer embarrassingly bad deaths, all, of course, except for Wonder Woman.

The Hall of Justice sports rainbow flags, white dude comments are dropped, Harley Quinn survives the Batman encounter, and Kevin Conroy’s last time as Batman is simply a big disrespect.

Less than half of Marvel’s Avengers

The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League sales info comes via PCGames who dug up the numbers on Steam.

Marvel’s Avengers launched on Friday, September 4, 2020 with a peak player count of 29,916.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? 12,667 players on Friday, February 2, 2024, less than half.

According to the latest data, the 24 hour peak for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is at 8,311 players. The current amount of players is 5,733, and the all-time peak came 3 days ago with 13,459 players (Marvel’s Avengers all-time peak was 31,165).

On Twitch, the stats also reveal the game went from a 155,177 all-time peak viewers to a 10,019 viewer 24-hour peak, with 5,358 viewers right now.

Marvel’s Avengers has since been yanked from Steam as the game is no longer in development.
