Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Trailer 2 Ups the Stakes with New Rules and More Horror

The second official trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 has dropped, promising “a new set of rules” and “a new level of fear.” The Blumhouse sequel, based on Scott Cawthon’s hit game series, arrives in theaters December 5.

Abby Returns to Freddy’s

The trailer confirms that Abby (Piper Rubio) will again take center stage, as she sneaks away to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy—despite her brother Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) trying to protect her from the truth. Her decision sets off a chain of terrifying events that leads to the discovery of dark secrets behind the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

Returning Filmmakers

Emma Tammi returns as director. The script is again written by Scott Cawthon, who also produces the film with Jason Blum. Executive producers include Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman.

Sequel Follows Record-Breaking First Film

Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023) earned $80 million on opening weekend and went on to gross nearly $300 million worldwide. The second film looks to build on that success when it opens December 5.
