Zack Snyder Posts New Photo With Turki Alalshikh As ‘Brawler’ Buzz Grows

Following our report from just yesterday, Zack Snyder has posted a new image of himself with Turki Alalshikh on Instagram, adding more fuel to the talk surrounding Brawler and what could be next for the filmmaker.

Snyder captioned the post, “With @turki such an amazing force in entertainment,” alongside the photo of the two together.

Zack Snyder and Turki Alalshikh connection keeps getting stronger

Snyder and Turki Alalshikh have been linked for a while now, and not just through Brawler.

Turki previously shared images with Snyder and teased a big announcement, calling him “the great director Zack Snyder.”

It’s also known Alalshikh is a big fan of Zack’s SnyderVerse, as Zack previously gifted him Batman v Superman merchandise. Our sources have filled us in that Turki Alalshikh and the Saudis at Paramount are behind a revival of the SnyderVerse, something Kevin Smith also recently hinted at.

Brawler could be Zack Snyder’s next movie

As covered in our previous article, Snyder is directing Brawler, the UFC drama announced with Turki Alalshikh, Dana White, and the UFC.

Snyder is directing, co-writing, and producing the film through Stone Quarry, with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad also writing and executive producing.

The movie follows a young fighter from the streets of Los Angeles who gets a shot at a UFC championship while battling his inner demons.

A recent casting call also suggested Brawler may be moving closer to production, with the project looking for MMA fighters and influencers for background gym scenes.

Who is Turki Alalshikh?

Turki Alalshikh is one of the most powerful figures in Saudi Arabia’s entertainment push.

He serves as chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, which oversees and drives entertainment initiatives in the kingdom.

He has also become a major player in combat sports, with deep ties to high-profile boxing events and growing links to UFC-related business.

His connection to Brawler is a big one. Turki is involved as an executive producer, while UFC is directly partnered on the film.

Paramount connection remains worth watching

Also, as we recently went over, the bigger backdrop to all this is the Paramount Skydance deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, which has confirmed Gulf backing.

While Paramount hasn’t officially been tied to Brawler, with Turki Alalshikh involved in the film and Saudi money already part of the merger, the overlap is hard to ignore, and connecting the dots seems pretty straightforward. The Paramount-WBD deal is expected to go through by July.
