Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano is now official, with Netflix announcing the matchup as a live event on Saturday, May 16.
Netflix posted: “Two MMA legends are coming to Netflix. RONDA ROUSEY vs. GINA CARANO Saturday May 16 LIVE only on Netflix.”
A press conference will be held on Thursday, March 5, at Intuit Dome.
Rousey calls it the biggest women’s super fight
Rousey shared the news on social media and framed it as a major moment for women’s combat sports.
Rousey said: “Been waiting so long to announce this: Me and @ginacarano are gonna throw down in the biggest super fight in women’s combat sport history! Jake Paul has also revealed he is involved with the fight, a he founded and owns MVP – Most Valuable Promotions.
“Surreal moment. I started taking judo because of Ronda Rousey. Now I get to work with her and Gina Carano to bring MMA to Netflix. Here we go…@MostVpromotions,” he posted on X.
