A newly surfaced email from the Epstein files shows a Hollywood insider confidently predicting multiple Oscar outcomes before nominations were officially announced and getting them right.
The email, dated January 24, 2011, was sent by veteran Hollywood publicist Peggy Siegal to an email address associated with Jeffrey Epstein.
The subject line simply reads: “Anne Hathaway.”
At the time the message was sent, Oscar nominations had not yet been announced.

Email Predicts Oscar Outcomes Ahead of Announcements
In the email, Siegal writes that Anne Hathaway had just landed the role of Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale.
Siegal then goes further, making a series of declarative awards claims:
- Nolan’s Inception “will be nominated for Oscars”
- Bale “will win Best Supporting Actor” for The Fighter
The language is not speculative. Siegal does not write “could” or “might.” She states the outcomes as certainties.
She also adds that Anne Hathaway is hosting the Oscars, which was first announced in November 2010.

What Happened Next
Those predictions later proved accurate.
Inception went on to receive eight Academy Award nominations and won four Oscars.
Bale won Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter.
All of this occurred after the email was sent.

Timing Is the Key Detail
The email timestamp places it one day before the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences officially announced the nominations for the 2011 Oscars.
The actual 2011 Oscars took place on February 27, 2011.
While Inception and Bale were widely considered strong contenders, the outcomes were not yet public or confirmed at the time Siegal sent the message.

Why Siegal Was Sharing Oscar Chatter
Siegal may have been predicting the Oscar race, but the timing, accuracy, and certainty of her claims ahead of official announcements stand out.
She also regularly kept Epstein looped in on her Hollywood dealings, sharing insider chatter with the wealthy, well-connected financier (Siegel was also friends with Harvey Weinstein).
Other emails also indicate Epstein was apparently a big Batman fan, which may also help explain why Siegal kept him updated on developments connected to The Dark Knight Rises (Epstein attended the Batman v Superman premiere and after party).
