Marvel's Tatiana Maslany Joins Esposito in Protest: Slams Israel and ICE

While Giancarlo Esposito made headlines for calling Donald Trump’s White House a catalyst for “civil war in the streets,” his The Only Living Pickpocket in New York co-star Tatiana Maslany backed up his message with actions of her own.

Maslany appeared across multiple press lines at the Sundance Film Festival wearing two pins — one reading “ICE Out”, and another showing support for “Artists for Ceasefire.”

The visual protest was part of a growing movement among actors using red carpets and media events to spotlight immigration enforcement and the ongoing war in Gaza.

“There is still genocide happening in Gaza,” Maslany told Variety. “And as much as there’s a ‘Trump peace plan,’ Israel has continued to kill Gazans and people in Palestine.”

She added, “It feels like the lid has blown off. I think a lot of people are realizing for the first time that they can’t remove themselves from the people who this affects — because it affects everyone.”

Maslany Has a History of Speaking Out — Including Against Disney and Marvel

Maslany’s recent actions build on a growing pattern of defiance, even against the studio that helped elevate her profile.

The She-Hulk actress recently sparked headlines when she mocked online rumors about future Marvel and Avengers projects as nothing more than “woke feminist stuff.”

That quote came shortly after the rumors that she won’t be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday.

They also follow her comments encouraging fans to cancel their Disney+ subscriptions in protest of how Disney handled Jimmy Kimmel’s controversial comments.

She also publicly criticized Disney CEO Bob Iger during the Hollywood strikes and has voiced support for trans kids’ rights on multiple occasions.
