SnyderVerse fans are watching another sign of movement as Larry Fong, the cinematographer behind Batman v Superman and Watchmen, is suddenly active again across social media.
His return follows Zack Snyder opening his Instagram and posting a wave of DCEU images, where we have been told has to do with the return of the SnyderVerse.

Fong Returns to X for the First Time in Months
Fong recently posted on X for the first time since August. On Sunday, he shared a behind-the-scenes video from the Knightmare Batman fight, writing:
“I’m being asked a lot lately if I might try shooting IMAX.
Me: ‘Um, yes, 10 years ago.’”
The post quickly caught attention, especially as Snyder fans noted the timing: Snyder posts DCEU material, then Fong reappears, and suddenly the two are discussing DC work again.

Fong Shuts Down Claims About Snyder Not Designing Action Scenes
On Saturday, Fong replied directly to a fan video breaking down the famous Batman v Superman warehouse fight, which noted the scene used almost no CGI and was designed to show Batman at his peak.
The Batman v Superman warehouse fight hides some wild behind-the-scenes facts:

• The scene used almost no CGI.
• Zack Snyder designed it to showcase Batman at his absolute peak.
• Fans often compare it to the Arkham games, though the stunt coordinator admitted he’d never… pic.twitter.com/EU1jvYIh1w
One likely Gunn-aligned fan jumped in with a false claim: “Zack Snyder didn’t design any of this scene; it’s entirely the work of Caro, Cetrone and a huge stunt team.”
Fong didn’t let that slide:
“Wrong. Zack always works VERY closely with his teams. Fights are a huge priority to him. They go through many iterations, reviews, and changes before approval. I’ve seen this with my own eyes.”
When the fan insisted he was “right,” Fong shut it down clean:
“I was there. Were you?”
The fan responded with profanity.
Wrong. Zack always works VERY closely with his teams. Fights are a huge priority to him (obviously). They go through many iterations, reviews, and changes before approval. I've seen this with my own eyes.

Fong Explains How the Knightmare Fight Was Shot
Another fan praised the one-shot Knightmare sequence, calling it “crazy” to shoot. Fong broke down how it was done:
“Very crazy. To start the IMAX camera inside and emerge — we built a scaffold next to the truck, cut a hole, and inserted the camera from above through black cloth with a slit. 3 takes were stitched together for the 360 move.”

Fong Also Rejects Claims That BvS Was ‘Mostly CGI’
A different user tried arguing the whole film was CGI, prompting more pushback.
Fan: “Most of the movie was pure CGI except for this one.”
Fong: “Nope.”
Fan: “Almost no CGI? Every frame had CGI. Roto, wire work, gun flares, smoke, bullet effects…”
Fong: “Not as much as you think.”

Another SnyderVerse Signal?
With Snyder active again, Fong’s timing stands out. Both men posting DC material at the same moment — and shutting down critics — only adds fuel to the belief that the SnyderVerse is back in play behind the scenes.
