For a comparison, The First Avenger has a runtime of 2h 4m, Winter Soldier of 2h 16m, and Civil War of 2h 28m.
Captain America: Brave New World is the seventh shortest of the 35 MCU films.
The shortest MCU film is The Marvels at 1 hour and 45 minutes followed by The Incredible Hulk at 1h 52m, Thor: The Dark World at 1h 52m, Thor at 1h 54m, Doctor Strange at 1h 55m, and Ant-Man at 1h 57m.
Ant-Man and The Wasp has the same 1h 58m runtime.
Lots of footage likely cut
It’s been said that Captain America: Brave New World has undergone at least four reshoots, so that likely means they shot and have lots of footage, but it also likely means a lot of that footage has been cut and is going unused.
Recently saw WWE Superstar Seth Rollins confirm his role has been cut from Captain America: Brave New World. It’s also known Giancarlo Esposito’s villain role, Sidewinder, has been added in reshoots. According to rumors, Marvel also added better action scenes to make Brave New World more in line with the action scenes from the previous Captain America movies.
A recent rumor also claims the film will connect to World War Hulk and Thunderbolts.
