That was quick.
It hasn’t even been two weeks and already Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Kamala Harris is causing big changes in Hollywood. Just imagine what happens when he actually is back in the White House?
The entertainment industry—particularly Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, and others—has been infected by the woke mind virus for years, which has been overwhelmingly rejected by fans who have no interest in its agenda.
Recently, The Acolyte has failed on Disney+, while The Marvels, starring Brie Larson and Iman Vellani, has lost hundreds of millions of dollars for Disney. Even long-running shows like Doctor Who are experiencing record-low ratings.
Oscars dropping political BS
Now thanks to Donald Trump, it’s learned we’re all saved from the Oscars being woke.
With the announcement Friday that the 97th Oscars will be hosted by Conan O’Brien, it’s learned because of the Trump victory, all the political BS will be dropped from the show, which guess what? Has also been suffering from record-low ratings.
It is also learned that Jimmy Kimmel, who previously hosted the Oscars, and who had an epic meltdown following the Trump win (has he moved to Canada, yet?), will not be returning to host the Oscars. Adios.
We get word about how the big Trump win has changed the Oscars via Deadline, Hollywood’s go-to shill site.
In its report on Conan O’Brien hosting the Oscars, Deadline noted that O’Brien isn’t known for political humor and that the event will “steer clear” of politics, “especially this year with Donald Trump back in the White House”:
O’Brien also isn’t known for political humor like Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers and Jon Stewart, who have all taken on hosting duties for high-profile awards shows. One source with inside knowledge of the discussions told me they wanted to steer clear of that, especially this year with Donald Trump back in the White House. It is apparent with this choice that the Academy and ABC favor the traditional sole comedian host at the helm, and O’Brien more than fills the bill.
When is Jimmy Kimmel moving to Canada?
Back in 2017 while hosting the Oscars, Kimmel made jokes at Trump’s expense multiple times.
Kimmel tweeted Trump live from the event questioning, “Hey @realDonaldTrump u up?” (Trump was actually at the the Governors’ Ball in Washington).
Kimmel made jokes about having “no tolerance for fake news” and loving “fake tans.”
He made a Doctor Strange joke at Ben Carson’s expense.
Kimmel used “Trump-speak” while talking about Meryl Streep.
Kimmel also said at the event, “I want to say thank you to President Trump. I mean, remember last year when it seemed like the Oscars were racist? That’s gone. Thanks to him.”
Kimmel also made jokes about the country being divided and even joked about Trump having a bowel movement.
Trump making the Oscars great again?
With Trump back in the White House, Kimmel and all the political BS are out. Did Trump just make the Oscars great again? Probably not but it might be worth watching for Conan O’Brien.
The Oscars will air live on ABC and broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with the official live red carpet show airing at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
