At New York Comic Con 2024, game studio Kabam celebrated the 10th anniversary of Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) with exciting announcements, including new content, updates, and the introduction of a brand-new original Marvel Champion, Isophyne. Fans were treated to gameplay reveals, trailers, and hands-on demos of the game’s latest features and characters.
Introducing Isophyne: A New Original Marvel Champion
The highlight of Kabam’s presentation was the reveal of Isophyne, an all-new original Marvel Champion set to debut in MCoC this December. Isophyne, a powerful living isosphere, was created to protect the Battlerealm from invaders. Voiced by actress Erika Ishii, Isophyne joins the ranks of original characters like Chee’ilth, Aegon, and Guillotine 2099. Fans can expect to see her in action in the 10th-anniversary trailer later this year.
New X-Men Champions: Spiral and Dazzler
Alongside Isophyne, Kabam introduced two new X-Men Champions: Spiral and Dazzler. Spiral brings a unique fighting style with spectral swords that can be used for both offense and defense, making her the first Champion to wield projectile attacks in MCoC. She’ll be available for players in November.
Dazzler, on the other hand, brings the beat to the battlefield. Players can enhance their attacks by tapping in rhythm with her hits, building up Tempo for massive damage. She’ll make her debut in December, and players can utilize her high-powered Dazzling Dash Attack for extra impact.

Enhanced Gameplay with 60FPS and Venom Content
In a major gameplay update, Kabam will introduce 60FPS to Marvel Contest of Champions in November, delivering smoother animations and more dynamic action. Fans at NYCC were able to experience early gameplay of Spiral and Dazzler with the enhanced frame rate at the Marvel booth.
Additionally, MCoC will host Venom-themed content to celebrate the release of Venom: The Last Dance. Players can participate in a seven-day login event from October 21 to November 15 to unlock Venom [Reskinned] and Anti-Venom.
Anniversary Rewards and Free Champions
To mark the game’s anniversary, Kabam is giving out free Champions in November and December through Early Bird Rewards. By registering on Playcontestofchampions.com, players can receive promo codes for Mojo and Purgatory, as well as updates on MCoC’s 10th anniversary rewards and events.
