Summary
- Vinnie Jones, who played Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand, will not have a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine
- Jones turned down the offer due to the physical and mental strain of wearing the Juggernaut suit
- Deadpool & Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy, stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman
Deadpool & Wolverine will not feature a Juggernaut cameo by Vinnie Jones, the actor who played the unstoppable step-brother of Charles Xavier in X-Men: The Last Stand.
Jones revealed he was approached to return in Deadpool & Wolverine, but he said he couldn’t deal with the “mental toll” of putting the costume back on, so he turned down Shawn Levy.
“Funnily enough, I just got asked to do Deadpool, the new one now, and I spoke to the director and I just said it’s such a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically,” Jones filled in Yahoo UK.
He continued, “I mean, it had its mental toll as well, because you’re in it and you can’t do anything all day, you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn’t strike the deal for Deadpool [& Wolverine].”
Juggernaut did appear in Deadpool 2 but that was CGI with Ryan Reynolds providing both the voice and the motion-capture for the character in the flick.
