Zack Snyder is keeping Henry Cavill’s Superman front and center while James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow is filming.
Snyder posted another Superman image on Instagram, this time showing Cavill’s Man of Steel standing in red light and smoke with the Superman symbol glowing on his chest.
Snyder captioned the post with Jor-El’s speech from Man of Steel: “’You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you. They will stumble. They will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun, Kal. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.’ —Jor-El (Russell Crowe) to Superman.”
The timing is hard to ignore. Snyder has been on a run of SnyderVerse posts while Gunn is busy filming Man of Tomorrow, the next Superman movie in the new DCU.
Zack Snyder Keeps Henry Cavill’s Superman Alive
Snyder isn’t letting fans forget his Superman.
The new image follows several recent DCEU posts from Snyder, including multiple Henry Cavill Superman images, Ben Affleck Batman shots, Wonder Woman, Justice League, and more.
This one hits directly at the core of Man of Steel.
Jor-El’s speech is one of the defining moments of Snyder’s Superman story, laying out Kal-El as a symbol of hope who can inspire humanity to become better.
Using that quote with Cavill’s Superman standing in red light makes the post feel less like a random throwback and more like another reminder of the version of Superman Snyder built.

Fans Call For Cavill’s Superman Again
Fans once again flooded the comments with calls for Henry Cavill to return.
One fan wrote, “Henry Cavill is Our Superman” with the #restorethesnyderverse hashtag.
Another said, “He will rise again! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.”
One comment added, “Henry Cavill is the best Superman.”
Another fan wrote, “This is what we want…#restorethesnyderverse.”
The reaction follows the same pattern as Snyder’s other recent posts. Every time he shares something from his DC era, fans respond with Cavill, Batfleck, Man of Steel 2, and SnyderVerse demands.
Insiders have filled us in that the SnyderVerse could return with Paramount buying WBD, and Kevin Smith has backed up our claims, who recently visited Ben Affleck. Our most recent update is that Snyder is said to be “gung ho” on The Dark Knight Returns and a Justice League finale.

James Gunn Films Man Of Tomorrow
Snyder’s latest post also comes as James Gunn is filming Man of Tomorrow, the follow-up to Superman starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent.
Gunn confirmed filming is underway with a first set photo, and production has already been spotted at an Atlanta prison location. The movie stars Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Lars Eidinger as Brainiac.
Gunn’s movie is moving the DCU forward with a new Superman, while Snyder’s Instagram keeps bringing fans back to Cavill’s version.
It creates an obvious contrast.
On one side, Gunn is building the next chapter of DC Studios with Corenswet’s Superman, Hoult’s Lex Luthor, and Brainiac.
On the other side, Snyder keeps posting images of Cavill’s Superman, Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, and the old Justice League team, reminding fans of the DCEU Warner Bros. left behind.
