WonderCon This Weekend Brings Felicia Day, Scott Snyder, and a Packed Comics-Focused Schedule

WonderCon Anaheim returns this weekend, March 27 through March 29, at the Anaheim Convention Center for three days packed with comics, cosplay, panels, artists, games, autographs, and special guests.

Compared with something like MegaCon, WonderCon looks more focused on creators, fandom, and the convention floor than on major celebrity appearances, which gives it its own appeal for comic book fans. Cosmic Book News will also be there covering the weekend.

WonderCon Anaheim dates and hours

WonderCon 2026 runs Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 29 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Official exhibit hall hours are Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fans can find the full official schedule and guest list at the WonderCon website.

That makes WonderCon one of the bigger fan events of the weekend on the West Coast. Between the exhibit hall, creator spotlights, cosplay, signings, games, and panels, there is no shortage of things for attendees to check out.

Special guests include Felicia Day, Scott Snyder, and Joshua Williamson

WonderCon may not have the same celebrity-heavy profile as some other conventions, but it still has a strong guest lineup for comics and pop culture fans. Official WonderCon announcements confirmed Felicia Day as part of the second wave of special guests, while Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson were added in a later guest announcement.

The current WonderCon schedule also includes Spotlight on Scott Snyder and programming tied to Joshua Williamson, which fits with the convention’s stronger creator-driven identity this year.

WonderCon is more about comics, creators, and cosplay

The official WonderCon pages lean heavily into the convention’s comics-and-fandom identity. The event promotes artists, exhibitors, small press, fan tables, autographs, games, anime, portfolio review, and a full programming schedule rather than leading with big celebrity photo ops.

That makes WonderCon a different kind of show. For readers who care more about comics, creators, and convention culture than Hollywood star power, that can actually be a plus.

Panels, games, and the Masquerade highlight the weekend

One of the bigger scheduled events of the weekend is the WonderCon Masquerade, which takes place Saturday, March 28 at 8:30 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center. The official event page says the costume competition will run about two and a half hours.

WonderCon also has a full programming slate across the weekend, including anime, autographs, children’s film programming, games, and portfolio review. The official games page says attendees can expect more than 100 different game titles, along with tournament rounds, teaching demos, and open gaming.

WonderCon does not appear to have the same after-hours push as MegaCon

Unlike MegaCon, WonderCon does not appear to have a major official after-hours party page centered on nightlife events across the city. The convention’s nighttime draw seems to be more focused on on-site programming and headquarters hotel activity, including games running Friday and Saturday night and the Saturday Masquerade.

That likely makes WonderCon feel a bit smaller and more convention-centered, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It just means the draw is more about what is happening inside the show than around it after dark.

What to watch this weekend

If you are heading to WonderCon, the biggest things to watch are the creator-focused panels, special guest appearances from Felicia Day, Scott Snyder, and Joshua Williamson, the exhibit hall, Artists’ Alley, game programming, and the Saturday night Masquerade. WonderCon may be a smaller play than MegaCon when it comes to celebrity hype, but it still looks like a strong weekend for comics and fandom.
