Street Fighter Featurette Trailer Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Footage, Cast Reactions

Legendary has released a new featurette trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter movie, offering fans a look behind the scenes along with comments from the cast and creators working on the video game adaptation.

The new footage mixes action shots from the film with behind-the-scenes clips of the actors preparing for their roles, highlighting the production’s effort to faithfully bring Capcom’s iconic fighters to life.

Cast Embraces the Street Fighter Legacy

In the featurette, members of the cast emphasize how much the franchise means to them and the pressure to do the characters justice.

“All of us, we’re going to do our best to honor the characters and to bring it into life in the best way they’ve ever been brought ever,” one of the cast members says in the video.

Several actors also talk about growing up playing the games.

“We’re all big Street Fighter fans. I played it on my PS4, my PS5. I was obsessed with Street Fighter. I just hit the button so fast and then see what happens.”

The featurette also shows cast members interacting around arcade machines and preparing for fight scenes, underscoring the competitive spirit that defines the series.

Behind the Scenes of the Fight Training

The footage also highlights the intense preparation for the film’s fight choreography, with actors practicing strikes, movement, and combat sequences designed to mirror the signature fighting styles from the games.

At one point in the featurette, the cast jokes about competing against someone who knows the game too well:

“Known Street Fighter better than anyone. Here’s the guy who brought us a modern Street Fighter and he wants to play. Good luck.”

Another moment captures the playful rivalry among the cast as they prepare for battle.

“But it’s definitely no fair. He knows things.”

A New Look at the Fighters

While the featurette mainly focuses on the production process, it also includes quick glimpses of the characters in action and the scale of the World Warrior tournament.

The film stars Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Cody Rhodes as Guile, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Orville Peck as Vega, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Hirooki Goto as E.
