Zack Snyder comes out in support of the upcoming Blue Beetle movie and tweets that he looks forward to taking his kids to see the movie.
Snyder also mentioned that representation matters, as Blue Beetle is also the first live-action superhero film featuring a Latino in the starring role, played by Cobra Kai‘s Xolo Maridueña.
Let’s just hope quality and story matter, too, right?
Tracking for the flick offers an opening weekend of around $12-$17 million which would be the lowest opening for a DC movie. The movie does look fun so maybe it will be a surprise hit. I just hope the marketing isn’t all about how “diverse” the movie is instead of, again, if it’s a good movie.
