Marvel Drops First Wonder Man Trailer At NYCC

Wonder Man just debuted an exclusive teaser for the upcoming Disney+ series ahead of what is said to be the full trailer reveal this weekend at the New York Comic-Con.

First Wonder Man Teaser Shown

The teaser gave audiences a glimpse of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams — a struggling actor who becomes the superhero Wonder Man.

The footage plays up the series’ Hollywood satire angle, showing Simon navigating life as a celebrity in a world obsessed with fame and spectacle. The short teaser hinted at a mix of comedy, industry parody, and Marvel-style action.

Full Trailer Expected Soon

Marvel’s full trailer for Wonder Man is expected to arrive over the weekend following the NYCC presentation. The show is part of the new “Marvel Spotlight” banner, which focuses on standalone stories that don’t require deep MCU knowledge. Fans can expect the trailer to reveal more about the tone and direction of the series.

Cast and Release Details

Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, with Ben Kingsley returning as Trevor Slattery and Demetrius Grosse playing Eric Williams, also known as the Grim Reaper. The series is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and will consist of eight 30-minute episodes.

Marvel confirmed that Wonder Man will premiere on Disney+ in January 2026, following its earlier plan for a late 2025 release.
