Let’s go, Voltron Force! Marvel actor Chris Evans has been spotted down under with wife Alba Baptista on the set of the live-action Voltron movie which also stars Henry Cavill.
Director Rawson Marshall Thurber is currently filming Voltron in Australia where Samson Kayo, who also stars in the flick, snapped a selfie in an elevator with the cast.
Chris Evans, who is no stranger to elevator scenes, can be seen next to Alba Baptista. The two are reported to have wed back in September of 2023. While Evans is not a part of the cast of Voltron, since he’s there, maybe he can make a cameo?
Henry Cavill is also absent from the pic. Henry has been spotted with his wife and new baby in Australia. Cavill also presented at Australia’s AACTA Awards.
What is Voltron about?
Rawson Marshall Thurber recently teased that they “reimagined Voltron for the live-action world” and “we’re going to be introducing an entirely new generation of pilots.”
“You know, I loved Voltron since I was a boy, and I wanted to make this movie since I was eight years old. And so to finally, finally have the chance to bring Voltron to life is beyond thrilling to me. I want to make sure that we stay true to the heart, and the spirit of Voltron,” he said.
Thurber continued, “In this film, we’re going to be introducing an entirely new generation of pilots. We’ve reimagined Voltron for the live-action world but we’re going to stay true to the heart and the spirit of Voltron and those iconic elements that you love, that I love. And so I am so excited to share it with you.”
He added, “You know, it’s taken us forty years to get here, but I promise you, I promise you it will be worth the wait.”

Along with Alba Baptista and Henry Cavill, starring includes Daniel Quinn-Toye, Sterling K. Brown, Rita Ora, Samson Kayo, John Kim, Tharanya Tharan, Laura Gordon, and Tim Griffin.
Early production notes from Thurber also offered a glimpse into the movie’s set design, which includes locations like the “Common Room,” the “War Room,” the “Hall of Heroes,” and more.

The live-action Voltron doesn’t have an official release date as of yet. The script is by Ellen Shanman and Thurber. The film is from Amazon Studios.
