True to the film’s official title, Sony confirms Venom 3 will be the last movie.
Tom Hardy kicked off the franchise back in 2018, with the sequel released in 2021; both films have brought in over $1.3 billion at the box office.
The third film is titled “The Last Dance” and gets released on October 25.
What did Sony say?
In an interview with Deadline, Sony Motion Pictures Group chairman Tom Rothman talked up the studio’s upcoming slate of films with mention made that Venom 3 will be the last.
“The third and last Venom, is going to be huge,” he said.
What is Venom: The Last Dance about?
No official plot details are known, and the trailer hasn’t been released as of yet, but there is some speculation the third flick might go full circle back to the first movie.
Thanks to the stunt crew, a Venom 3 t-shirt and hat might have revealed the villain.
The flick is directed by Kelly Marcel who also wrote the script with Hardy. Also starring in the movie includes Juno Temple, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
