One of my favorite shows on Netflix, Travelers, looks to be all done as star Eric McCormack and creator Brad Wright take to social media to say good-bye and thank fans for their support of the first three seasons, with a Season 4 sounding as if it isn’t going to happen.
Eric McCormack tweeted the following video:
Hey, my fellow Travelers. First of all, let me say a huge thank you for your ravenous response to Season 3. Worldwide. It’s been really gratifying for all of us. A lot of you have been asking me about the possibility of a Season 4. But many of you have been saying ‘look if this is it, what a moving, and surprising and profound ending it is.’ Well, I’m afraid it is. Who knows what the future holds, but Travelers Program One, as we call it, is complete. On behalf of our creator, Brad Wright, my fellow producers and directors, designers, our writers, our amazing crew in Vancouver and all of the cast, who are loved more than they know, I want to say thank you. All three seasons of Travelers will continue to be available for you to rediscover and hopefully bring some others along with you, but for now, Protocol 5. Much love, from 3468 in the 21st.

Creator Brad Wright also tweeted:
“Well, all good things… Thanks to the greatest cast, crew, directors, writers, artists and producing partners a guy could ask for. Love to you all. And to @Netflix for stepping up so we could make season 3!”
Travelers is a time travel science-fiction series that sees the last surviving humans, who hundreds of years from now, discover the means of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century. These “travelers” assume the lives of seemingly random people, while secretly working as teams to perform missions in order to save humanity from a terrible future.
Season 3 of Travelers, which is available on Netflix, was probably the best of the series, with the last episode particularly well done. Travelers was a well thought out, fun and entertaining series, it’s a shame it’s not getting a Season 4.
For reference, Protocol 5 means to continue on in your host’s life: “In the absence of direction, maintain your host’s life.”
