Chris Hemsworth is currently filming for Thor 2, “The Dark World,” as well as starring in the Red Dawn remake.

The Asgardian immortal also saw success with Snow White & The Huntsman and The Avengers, so would Hemsworth be up for playing a role in another franchise, perhaps one taking place in a galaxy far, far away?

MTV caught up with Hemsworth and asked him just that.

“Oh man, I love those films. That’s the sort of bread and butter of my film experience as a kid,” Hemsworth revealed about Star Wars. “I would love to work on something like that. I also loved Lord of the Rings. I would have loved to have done something in that world.”

Hemsworth also goes on to state that Thor 2 is going to be bigger and have a different look than the Kenneth Branagh-directed Thor movie.

“The look of the film is a lot bigger than what we did even previously. The first one worked and people loved it, but this is with a different director and just has a totally different feel. There’s a definite Game of Thrones vibe thanks to [director] Alan [Taylor],” he said.

Speaking of the Thor movie, an alternate ending was released that featured Natalie Portman‘s character, Jane Foster, who was noticeably absent from The Avengers movie. Hemsworth says that Thor 2 will touch upon where she’s been.

“For Thor and Jane, there are some unanswered questions now, since obviously he didn’t stop in and catch up with her in Avengers. Thor might have some explaining to do in this one. There’s some fun to be had with that,” Hemsworth offered.

And regarding his brother Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston who also said he would love to do Star Wars, seems the brothers will get into some excitement again as well.

“We get down to the major bones of our conflict with everything that’s come from Thor to Avengers to now.”

Thor 2: The Dark World hammers into theaters November 8th, 2013 directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin,  Idris Elba as Heimidall, Zachary Levi as Fandral and Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed, Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Kurse.
