Amazon Studios has released The Accountant 2 trailer and poster offering a look at the return of Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal. The official synopsis has also been released. Watch below.

What is The Accountant 2 about?

Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.

We get a first look at The Accountant 2 starring Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal. The actors return as their respective characters Christian Wolff and his brother, Brax.

The image comes via SXSW 2025 which takes place March 7 -15, as The Accountant 2 will be shown at the event among the headliners.

The first movie was released in 2016 and with a budget of $44 million brought in over $155 million. If you like films like John Wick, you’ll like The Accountant.

The official description offers:

Christian Wolff is brought out of hiding by Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina after someone close to them is killed by unknown assassins. To solve the murder, Wolff must recruit the help of his estranged but highly lethal brother Brax.

Release info

The Accountant 2 gets released on April 25, 2025, with Gavin O’Connor returning to direct, and Bill Dubuque returned to write the script.

Producers include Ben Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor, and Mark Williams.
