Earlier today saw concept art for The Avengers 4 leak online featuring the surviving Marvel heroes, with a second piece featuring the Great Titan, Thanos.
The first piece of concept art features Thor, Captain Marvel, Nebula, Iron Man, Rocket Raccoon, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, War Machine, Ant-Man and Hulk sporting some sort of new suit.
Speaking of new suits, Thanos also appears to get a new look for The Avengers 4, at least according to the following concept art.
The concept art features Thanos in full armor with what appears to be a fully functional Infinity Gauntlet and a new weapon. If you recall, the end of The Avengers: Infinity War saw Thanos snap his fingers wiping out half the universe, which seemed to burn out or even destroy the Infinity Stones and Infinity Gauntlet; however, this art seems to suggest that the Gauntlet will be functional and used in Avengers 4.
Itâs always possible that the final version seen in the movie may not look like the concept art, but it probably gives a could indication of what Thanos may look like in the film.
The Russo brothers also recently mentioned that the high stakes from Infinity War continue to Avengers 4.
âUnless you have real stakes, youâre sort of limited in terms of the emotional impact a story can have on you,â Anthony Russo told Variety. âYou have to go to very difficult places for the stakes to feel real, for the characters to feel like they have something to lose, for the audience to feel like they have something at risk. What weâre looking for in storytelling or art is emotional catharsis. And thatâs not simply getting what you want. Itâs getting an emotional experience that makes you feel and respond to it and energizes you on some level.â
âI will say this: There is a real commitment on our end to the stakes,â Anthony Russo teased. âYes, this is a fantasy world, and yes, remarkable things can happen in a fantasy world, but-â
Joe Russo then interjects: âThey come at an incredibly high cost. For us, there will always be stakes and the stakes have been progressing from film to film. And I think you can extrapolate that they will continue to deepen in Avengers 4.â
It also seems the deaths seen in Avengers: Infinity War wonât stop there as Joe Russo teased âjust you waitâ with a Thanos smile of his own.
The Avengers 4 has a May 3, 2019 release.
