Batman Vs. Superman Trailer Scores On Twitter

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23172:]]

While Captain America: Civil War crushed Batman Vs. Superman in terms of overall trailer viewings in its first 24 hours, the recent Dawn of Justice trailer took home the title for most talk on Twitter.

It’s reported that the Batman Vs. Superman trailer was tweeted even more than the Captain America: Civil War trailer in its first week and is #5 overall for the year.

While the Captain America: Civil War trailer shattered the world record with 61 million views in its first 24 hours to Batman Vs. Superman‘s 23 million (accounting for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter viewings, etc.), Batman Vs. Superman quite possibly may have surpassed Civil War in total as a quick look at various accounts on YouTube and Facebook seems to suggest BVS is now in the lead.

Numbers to date for both trailer viewings have yet to be released, but on WB’s YouTube channel, Batman Vs. Superman netted around 16.5 million views to Civil War‘s 8 million on Marvel’s YouTube. Likewise, on Facebook, Batman Vs. Superman is at 15 million views to Civil War‘s 5.3 million.

Joss Whedon Explains Why He Left Twitter

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20425:]]

Following the weekend debut of Avengers 2, Josh Whedon closed his Twitter account and said good-bye to his 1.14 million followers.

And then the rumors and speculation began to fly.

Apparently one theory had it Whedon left due to the liberaly feminists who weren’t happy with Black Widow’s depiction in Avengers 2.

However, Whedon tells BuzzFeed that’s a bunch of BS.

“That is horseshit. Believe me, I have been attacked by militant feminists since I got on Twitter. That’s something I’m used to. Every breed of feminism is attacking every other breed, and every subsection of liberalism is always busy attacking another subsection of liberalism, because god forbid they should all band together and actually fight for the cause.”

Whedon goes on to explain why he chose to leave.

“I just thought, Wait a minute, if I’m going to start writing again, I have to go to the quiet place. And this is the least quiet place I’ve ever been in my life. … It’s like taking the bar exam at Coachella. It’s like, Um, I really need to concentrate on this! Guys! Can you all just… I have to… It’s super important for my law!”

Whedon does say he would consider going back to Twitter at some point, but the article states the more Whedon talked about it the less likely it seemed.

“I’m sure I’d consider it at some point. It’s a lot of fun. I had a great time.”

Joss Whedon Closes Twitter Account

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20390:]]

Following the opening weekend of Avengers 2, Joss Whedon has closed his Twitter account.

The director had 1.14 million followers at the time, with his last tweet reading: “Thank you to all the people who’ve been so kind and funny and inspiring up in here.”

We are guessing Whedon is more than likely just burned out from the Avengers 2 press tour as well as dealing with the people on Twitter, who usually are less positive than other social networks.

The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is currently in theaters.
