The Superman actor is in final talks to return as Derek Hale in the Teen Wolf film for Paramount Plus.

MTV announced to a packed room of screaming fans at New York Comic Con that hit drama series “Teen Wolf” will return to MTV for the second half of season five on a brand new day Tuesday, January 5th at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT. During the panel moderated by TV Line’s Andy Swift, fans got a first-look at the second half of the season, which promises to be electrifying.
The panel at New York Comic Con kicked off with a bang. Following the release of the explosive trailer, cast members Tyler Posey, Dylan Sprayberry and Cody Christian took the stage alongside Executive Producer Jeff Davis – only to be interrupted by the one and only JR Bourne. His surprise appearance sent the howling fans into yet another frenzy and hinted at more twists and turns to come in the second half of season five.

MTV today announced its New York Comic Con lineup for October 9 and 10, featuring the return of “Teen Wolf” and the highly-anticipated convention debut of the new epic Sci-Fi/Fantasy drama, “The Shannara Chronicles.” Each can’t-miss panel will feature cast and producers from the shows and the debut of exclusive New York Comic Con trailers. Additionally, both casts will be signing exclusive New York Comic Con collector’s edition items. The network also released the first key art image for “The Shannara Chronicles” today, which is featured above.
