Info:

Disney Interactive Games and Marvel Entertainment today announced that the new turn-based team role-playing game “Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2” is now available on the App Store®, Google Play™, Amazon App Store and the Windows Phone Store. “Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2” is the mobile sequel to the smash hit social game “Marvel: Avengers Alliance,” offering fans stunning visuals and a deep roster of Marvel Heroes to build the ultimate team.

“’Marvel: Avengers Alliance’ is Marvel’s most successful social game ever, captivating an audience of millions of passionate fans over the past four years with the stories of Marvel’s super heroes and super villains,” said Chris Heatherly, SVP & GM, Disney Interactive Games. “’Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2′ stays true to the roots of this successful game but with all new visuals and gameplay built for mobile players.”

In “Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2,” players will assemble a team of super heroes featuring the Avengers, Daredevil, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Wasp, and others to battle Ultron, Baron Strucker, M.O.D.O.K., and additional epic super villains. Commanders will team up with friends and other players from around the globe to prevail against deadly foes in story-based missions, Spec Ops, and more.

In this original storyline for “Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2,” pieces of the planet are disappearing, with entire cities vanishing without a trace. It is a mystery with a single clue: All of the disappearances are at previous sites of Incursions. Villains are taking advantage of the chaos, as well as the massive deposits of Iso-8 left behind by each disappearance. Each player must level up heroes, customize each hero with special abilities, and assemble the ultimate team to take into battle.

“The original ‘Marvel: Avengers Alliance’ attracted a worldwide fan base due to its great storytelling and unique gameplay,” said Peter Phillips, EVP/GM, Interactive and Digital Distribution, Marvel Entertainment. “’Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2′ expands on the original with exciting new missions and one of the most robust character line-ups in any Marvel game.”

Since its launch in 2012, the original ‘Marvel: Avengers Alliance’ has become the most successful Disney Interactive-published social game with nearly 70 million players, and over 100 super heroes and super villains for players to collect and nearly 1,600 different combat situations to battle through, including PVP Tournaments and Incursions.

“Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2” features include:

Create a Team: Players assemble the ultimate team to strategize and defeat evil forces in epic 3-on-3 combat.

Customize Heroes: Fans collect, level-up, and equip super heroes with unique abilities.

Story-Based Missions: Players take on dozens of replayable story- based, Spec Op, and Daily Op missions for rewards.

Active Competitions: Contestants earn additional powerful rewards in PVP tournaments.

Check out Joe and Anthony Russo below reacting to the Screen Junkies “Honest Trailer” of Captain America: Winter Soldier.

The brothers note that during creation of the script and in the writers room, they referenced the fact that the movie would get an “Honest Trailer” treatment and changed things up accordingly.

Likewise, Screen Junkies noted it was difficult finding things wrong with the movie, in which they had to knit pick certain things in order to create the video.

The Russo brothers counter some of the arguments and more.

Russo’s Explain Why A Young Spider-Man Is Recruited In Captain America: Civil War

Who recruits child soldiers for war?

Apparently, Iron Man does.

This is actually an argument we brought up a while ago: Why would an “Avenger” recruit a 15-year-old kid for battle?

While it seems odd for Tony Stark to be using a 15-year-old for combat in the form of Peter Parker, the Russo brothers explain their reasoning behind using Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War (other than it’s really cool).

Joe and Anthony Russo offered the following at the UK premiere (via Screen Rant).

Warning: Spoilers follow.

“Look, there’s a certain narcissism to the character and Tony doesn’t want to lose this fight, and at the same time I think he also sees Spider-Man as the greatest living non-lethal weapon. If you’re going out to capture a bunch of people who you don’t necessarily want to hurt, you couldn’t ask for a better character than Spider-Man to take with you.

“He does show up and illustrate that Spider-Man, he knows how powerful he is. In a video we see Spider-Man stopping a car moving 40 miles an hour, where he catches it and puts it back on the ground, so I think he believes that he’s taking with him perhaps one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel universe, and I think he feels like the kid will be well-protected under his tutelage. You also find out in that sequence, when things go wrong the kid says, ‘What do I do?’ and Tony says, ‘Keep your distance, web ’em up.’ So he’s obviously mentored the kid for what’s about to go down.”

“It’s still very irresponsible,” joked fellow director Anthony Russo.

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Robert Downey Jr. Wants Iron Man 4 (Video)

There is once again talk of Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man 4.

A few weeks ago saw Robert Downey Jr. mention if they did an Iron Man 4, he would want it to be his swan song where he plays more the villain role.

At the time, Robert Downey Jr. “didn’t think it was in the cards,” but now things may have changed.

In an featurette/interview with ABC News (watch below) for Captain America: Civil War, Robert Downey Jr. is seen stating, ” I feel like I can do one more.”

Reportedly, the reason for no Iron Man 4 was due to problems with Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter who didn’t want to pay RDJ all the money to star in another solo film. It’s possible now that Kevin Feige has ousted Perlmutter and the Marvel creative comics/TV people from any involvement in Marvel Studios, that Robert Downey Jr. may be able to star in Iron Man 4.

Let’s hope so.

Kevin Feige Updates Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man: Homecoming & More (Video)

At the UK premiere of Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige offers updates on Thor, Hulk, Nick Fury, Spider-Man: Homecoming and explains the Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. scene from the movie.

Worry not, there are no spoilers in the video below.

Regarding Thor and Hulk, Feige says they are not in Civil War, but we’ll learn what happened to them when Thor: Ragnarok hits in November 2017. Feige also said they begin filming in a couple of months.

Feige lets it be known we’ll see Nick Fury in an upcoming movie, but it’s not Thor: Ragnarok.

Feige also says the Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. scene in Captain America: Civil War was actually used for auditions. Robert Downey Jr. auditioned with various young actors using that scene, with Tom Holland being the best choice for the role.

For Spider-Man: Homecoming, Feige reiterates that Marvel has creative control of Spider-Man and says they have a great relationship with Sony.

John Wick Directors Worked On Captain America: Civil War Action Scenes

More good news about Captain America: Civil War comes from the fact that the directors of John Wick helped out on action sequences in the movie.

Similar to myself, Collider happens to be a big fan of John Wick and let it be known Chad Stahelski and David Leitch did the second unit work on Captain America: Civil War. Here is what Joe Russo had to say on the subject:

Joe Russo: They did us a huge favor. They’re friends of ours. Obviously they are off now enjoying very successful directing careers. Just as friends, we called them and asked them if they would help us execute some of the action sequences, along with Spiro Razatos, who is generally regarded as the top guy along with Chad and Dave, so we literally had an all-star team of second unit directors working on this movie with us because we care so much about the action, and the quality of action, and we knew we had to work really hard to up our game from Winter Soldier. So we wanted to bring in the best people in the business to help us to that.

Chad Stahelski is returning for John Wick 2 as well.

Captain America: Civil War Is “Everything Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice Wasn’t”

It should probably come as no surprise, but Captain America: Civil War is projected to open huge.

Deadline reports, at least in their opinion and probably the opinions of at least a few others, that Captain America: Civil War  “is everything that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wasn’t in its execution:  Funny, politically savvy, and just a great ride.”

Captain America: Civil War is projected to have a  $190 million+ opening weekend in the U.S, which would not only pass Batman Vs. Superman‘s $160 million opener from last month, but it’s said the projection is at the low end, meaning Civil War could end up scoring one of the best opening weekend’s ever — possibly even better than The Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.3 million).

Internationally, it’s said Captain America: Civil War is projected to open between $200-$230 million.

The report also mentions to expect Captain America: Civil War to be a lot better than Whedon’s Age of Ultron as Civil War “drops the Avengers action into fifth gear.”

Some other stats mentioned include:

• Fandango reports that Captain America: Civil War is already selling more advance tickets than all previous Marvel movies.

• Movio says advance ticket buyers are mostly males at 73%, with the average age being 32-33 years old.

• In addition close to half the crowd is made up of ticket buyers aged 22-40.

• 45% percent of presale tickets are for Thursday night, with almost 90% of tickets for Thursday-Saturday on opening weekend.

Civil War is surpassing Avengers in interest.

Captain America: Civil War has a 97% rating at Rotten Tomatoes.

Ant-Man & Mandarin Referenced In Captain America: Civil War WHIH Newsfront Report

Following the “Avengers Impact” report, the ficticious Marvel news agency, WHIH World News, has released a second Captain America: Civil War related video with “The Cost Of Saving The World.”

The report asks viewers who should be responsible for all of the cost associated with the clean up and rebuilding process.

The ticker also references Ant-Man and the Mandarin.

We see following the destruction of Pym Technologies in the Ant-Man movie that stock trading has been pushed back to due layoffs.

We also see mention of the “Trevor Slattery Story,” which is a TV movie questioning if the character is man or Mandarin.

A ticker on the “Avengers Impact” report also had info about General Ross.

Everyone (patients and staff alike!) was very excited. We’re very grateful to Disney for organising such a superstar visit.
