DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Rumored For One Season; More On Flash & Supergirl

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23053:]]

This past Thanksgiving saw a batch of DC TV rumors hit the net stating Constantine is going to be a part of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 2, as well as The Flash appearing on Supergirl.

Now a couple of days later some things have changed.

According to the originator of the rumors, Bleeding Cool, the Constantine rumor might not hold true as another “source” is going so far as to state there may not even be a Season 2 for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The thought behind that rumor is the series is said to be incredibly expensive, and they are not sure if they will go ahead with a second season, but instead will go with a totally new series of some kind.

IMO, the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow rumors more or less seem as just simply ideas being tossed around, than anything else that would be of merit.

Regarding The Flash and Supergirl, the good news is that the original rumor is still holding true (at this time), with it said the storyline may involve an arc from the DC Comics Supergirl comic book about New Krypton, which saw 100,000 Kryptonians come to Earth after Brainiac freed them from the bottle city of Kandor, with a new planet being built for them. I believe the EP’s of Supergirl and Flash/Arrow said initially there wouldn’t be a crossover, but it seems that Supergirl‘s ratings have dipped a bit, so they may want to connect it to The Flash, which is a pretty popular show and character right now.

New DC TV Series In The Works? “That’s Super Cool” Says Stephen Amell

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23024:]]

It looks like we may have a new DC TV series in development as it’s learned from a live Facebook chat with Stephen Amell and Robbie Amell that casting director David Rapaport is involved with a new project.

To be clear, it’s unknown if it’s for a DC TV series, but we’re speculating based on what was said in the video (watch below).

David Rapaport is the casting director for Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow and Supergirl.

Stephen Amell introduced Rapaport in the video with Robbie Amell spilling the news.

“Ladies and gentleman this is David Rapaport, casting director of Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, The Tomorrow People, Supergirl…” Stephen Amell said before Robbie Amell chimed in.

“There’s a new one,” Robbie Amell said.

“There is,” Rapaport confirmed.

“Oh, you can’t announce it,” Robbie Amell teased. “Good thing I didn’t mention it [laughs].”

Stephen Amell didn’t know what the new show was, but Robbie Amell whispered something in his cousin’s ear.

“That’s super cool!” Stephen Amell said.

“You guys are going to love it,” Rapaport offered.

Any ideas what the new series could be, assuming it’s DC?

Maybe Superboy?

Update: It’s learned Supergirl is casting a young Superman.

Colton Haynes Returning To Arrow

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23020:]]

Following have left Arrow last season, it’s now confirmed that Colton Haynes will be back as Roy Harper.

Haynes tweeted the news himself earlier today with: “Just landed in Vancouver to…BEGIN FILMING ON #ARROW AGAIN!!! So excited!!!”

Haynes left Arrow last year when his character Arsenal took the fall for being the Arrow and faked his own death in prison.  Roy was then seen leaving town and left Thea his red suit.

“We are beyond thrilled that Colton will be returning to Arrow this season,” EP Marc Guggenheim told EW.com. “It was always our intention to have him return following his departure last season, but it was a matter of finding the right story line to pull it off. That opportunity presented itself in episode 412 and we can’t wait for the fans to see this reunion.”

No specific details are known in regards to how Roy will return or be used.

The title for the Arrow episode that sees Haynes return is “Unchained.”

Robbie Amell Teases Return To Firestorm

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22575:]]

When DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow was first announced, it was learned Robbie Amell would not be a part of the spinoff series.

This Season on The Flash also saw Robbie Amell’s character, Ronnie Raymond, seemingly killed off, with the new Firestorm teased for next week’s episode.

Now it appears as if Robbie Amell’s flame is not about burn out as the actor has taken to Instagram to tease a return.

“Firestorm is in great hands,” Amell posted along with a side-by-side pic of himself with new Firestorm Franz Drameh. “But I’ll be back.”

Amell is appearing in the X-Files relaunch, so it’s possible the actor took some time off to film that show, which sees its debut in January.

Arrow Constantine Episode Description Revealed

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22490:]]

We can thank Arrow for saving Constantine as Matt Ryan will be appearing on the fifth episode of Season 4 “Haunted.”

The CW has now released the official description for the episode:

MATT RYAN REPRISES HIS ROLE AS JOHN CONSTANTINE ON ARROW — When things take a turn for the worse with Sara (guest star Caity Lotz), Oliver (Stephen Amell) calls in a favor from an old friend who deals in the mystical,  John Constantine (guest star Matt Ryan).  John Badham directed the episode written by Brian Ford Sullivan & Oscar Balderrama.

NBC recently cancelled Constantine much to the disastifaction of fans everywhere with a #SaveConstantine campaign launched which ended up with Matt Ryan appearing on Arrow. No other network has picked up the series. It’s always possible Ryan could star in the Justice League Dark movie that is currently in development, but with WB keeping their movie and TV universes separate, that may be unlikely.

“Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8pm ET starring Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Katie Cassidy, Paul Blackthorne and John Barrowman.
