James Gunn has announced the new Superman trailer will be dropping on Wednesday and released a promo teaser featuring David Corenswet taking to the skies as the Man of Steel.
“I’ve been waiting too long to share this with you all! Full Superman Trailer this Wednesday,” posted Gunn on social media.
The official Superman X account added, “Keep your eyes to the skies, something super is flying your way. Superman trailer this Wednesday.
It will be interesting to see what Gunn does with the full trailer. The first one had a bit of a mixed reaction. I’m hoping the full trailer gives us a confident, inspiring and hopeful Man of Steel. Tune in Wednesday to find out!

David Corenswet is a superstar
Previously, while promoting Creature Commandos, both James Gunn and Frank Grillo talked up Corenswet.
“I feel great. Superman is an enormous bear of a movie. It’s completely different from this show in every way, but it’s very much fantastic as well,” Gunn said. “Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, David Corenswet is going to freak everyone out with how great he is. He is one of the best actors I’ve ever worked with, and he can do everything. The man is incredible.”
Grillo added, “By the way, this kid, David [Corenswet], is going to be a superstar. A superstar. He’s amazing, as is the rest of the cast in the film, and just James’ take on it. I think it’s gonna be the movie.”
