Back in March it became known that Tahmoh Penikett had been cast in the new Superman movie, Man of Steel, with it thought that the Battlestar Galactica actor may be playing the DC Comics character, Damage.
However, the Man of Steel iMDB listing has been updated revealing Tahmoh Penikett as
What actually happened was Metallo took over Ackersonâs body, a former employee of the Daily Planet, and tricked Superman, shooting him with a Kryptonite bullet, with the members of the Justice League eventually saving Supermanâs life.
While itâs obvious no coincidence that Zack Snyder chose such a similar name, will we see Tahmoh Penikett as Metallo?
This isnât the first we have heard of Metallo as itâs been said in the Man of Steel, the military will weaponize Metallo and use him against Superman, so it seems possible.
Then again, Penikett could just be another employee of the Daily Planet, but seeing how the actor does have an âactionâ background, the kryptonite-powered cyborg might be taking on the Man of Steel.
While we wait to see Tahmoh Penikett battle Superman, check him out on next weekâs episode of Arrow.
Thanks to the Man of Steel Fan Facebook for the info.
