Superman: Legacy: James Gunn Shoots Down Middle East Rumors Again; Script Complete

James Gunn offers updates on Superman: Legacy and once again shoots down the rumors surrounding the Middle East.

Gunn also says the script is complete and reveals he is scouting locations for the movie.

Regarding the rumors, it has been claimed Superman: Legacy involves a plot involving terrorists and the Middle East. It has been claimed that David Corenswet’s big reveal in the movie involves Superman heading to the Middle East to take down terrorists. However, Gunn previously shot that down stating, “It isn’t true.”

Debunked

YouTuber Grace Randolph then doubled down and said that Gunn only shot down the terrorist part of the rumor and that she was told the Middle East still plays into the film. Also, she says she was told they’re not terrorists but Middle East dictators.

So on Threads, a fan again questioned Gunn and specifically asked about the Middle East being in Superman: Legacy.

“Well I thought I was debunking it all,” Gunn replied.

Regarding the script, while shooting down casting rumors about the Batman The Brave and the Bold movie, he said, “There’s no script yet. Ofc it’s false,” Gunn was also asked what percent is he at with the Superman: Legacy script.

“99.9%. I’m always changing small things but it’s been essentially done since well before the strike,” replied Gunn.

On Tuesday, he also posted on Instagram they are now scouting for locations.

“Legacy scout,” said Gunn.
