Supergirl Season 3 Ratings Nosedive

Supergirl Season 3 Ratings Nosedive

Following the NFL, now Supergirl‘s ratings tank big time.

Monday night saw the Supergirl Season 3 premiere air on The CW, which actually saw its ratings decline by over 50 percent compared to the Season 2 premiere last year.

Supergirl averaged a 0.5 rating in adults 18-49 and had 1.86 million total viewers, which is a huge drop of over 50 percent in the coveted 18-49 demo and nearly a 40 percent drop in total viewers from the Season 2 premiere.

In addition, the Supergirl Season 3 premiere ties a series ratings low.

I watched the Supergirl Season 3 premiere last night on DVR and wasn’t impressed by what I saw.

While I liked the overall story, effects and action, I really couldn’t handle the liberal slant the show takes. It’s no secret the show’s creators are liberals, but they’re basically shoving it down our throat in the series. It’s fine if you have political opinions and such, but similar to the NFL, this isn’t the place for them. People want to escape their every day life. I can tune in to CNN for fake news.

It’s not just Supergirl suffering as well, as I felt the season premieres for both The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow were among the weakest to date.
