Stranger Things Season 8 Has 8 Episodes

The episode count for Stranger Things Season 3 becomes known which is in line with the previous two seasons.

TV Line reveals that Stranger Things Season 3 will consist of eight episodes, which is the same as the first season and down one episode from Season 2's nine-episode run.

Details are slim regarding Stranger Things Season 3, but it will apparently feature a time jump as the actors are aging in real-time.

“Even if we wanted to hop into the action faster, we couldn’t.” creator Matt Duffer told THR. “Our kids are aging. We can only write and produce the show so fast. They’re going to be almost a year older by the time we start shooting Season 3… [so] it forces you to do a time jump.”

It has also been revealed that Stranger Things Season 3 will feature a new evil.

"We’re not going to put Will through hell for a third season in a row," Executive producer Shawn Levy told Galmour. "He’ll be dealing with stuff, but he won’t be at rock bottom the way we forced the amazing Noah Schnapp to play... We're [going to be] dealing with forces of evil that are new.”

Stranger Things Season 3 will feature the returning cast: Winona Ryder (Joyce), David Harbour (Jim), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Noah Schnapp (Will), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Cara Buono (Karen), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Keery (Steve), Dacre Montgomery (Billy), and Sadie Sink (Max).

The Stranger Things Season 3 release date looks to be late 2018 or early 2019.
