Star Wars: Jon Favreau Directing The Mandalorian & Grogu

Confirming the rumors, Disney and Lucasfilm have announced Jon Favreau is directing The Mandalorian and Grogu which will start filming this year.

Rumors have offered The Mandalorian Season 4 would be transitioned into a big feature-length movie though the trades are stating Season 4 is still in development.

The trades also point out that it hasn’t been confirmed if the flick will star Pedro Pascal who is also rumored to be starring in Marvel’s Fantastic Four and has HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 this year.

A release date has also not been announced though Disney has an untitled Star Wars release date set for Dec. 19, 2025, thought to to be for The Mandalorian and Grogu and not the new Rey movie.
