Spider-Noir has its first teaser trailer, and Nicolas Cage’s live-action Marvel series now has an official premiere date.
The series will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25, 2026, before premiering globally on Prime Video on May 27, 2026. The full season will be released as a binge drop.
The teaser gives fans their first real look at Cage as Ben Reilly, a down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to confront his past as the city’s only masked hero.
A Different Kind Of Spider-Man Story
Spider-Noir is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, but this is not a traditional Peter Parker story.
Cage plays an older, hardened version of the hero living in a world of gangsters, corruption, backroom deals, and moral gray areas. After a deeply personal tragedy, Reilly is pulled back into the life he tried to leave behind.
The teaser leans into the pulpy detective tone, mixing Marvel mythology with classic film noir visuals and 1930s crime drama style.
Black And White Or Color
One of the more interesting hooks is that Spider-Noir will be available in two different formats.
Viewers will be able to watch the series in “Authentic Black & White” or “True-Hue Full Color,” giving fans the choice between a more classic noir presentation and a comic book-style color version.
It’s a smart move for a series built around a character whose entire appeal comes from blending old-school detective fiction with Spider-Man’s superhero world.
