With the Spider-Man: Homecoming movie being the first MCU film following The Avengers 4, Marvel Studios is quickly moving things along as it’s learned the sequel has writers and a possible director.

THR reports Spider-Man: Homecoming writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are in final negotiations and will be back for the sequel, with Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts already in talks to return as well.

Tom Holland will also be back for the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, which gets released July 5, 2019 (Avengers 4 hits May 3, 2019).

Spider-Man: Homecoming debuted this past Summer and has a current box office gross of near $738 million and has yet to open in China.
