It’s claimed that Sony and Marvel Studios have added more girl power to Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the form of Florence Pugh as Yelena, who’s back from Thunderbolts, which happens to be the MCU’s second-lowest-grossing movie behind The Marvels.
Florence Pugh is also a part of Avengers: Doomsday, and she first appeared in Black Widow, which bombed, and Hawkeye, another MCU disappointment.
The rumor comes via Daniel RPK.

The growing cast
Pugh joins a growing female-centric cast in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which includes her Dune co-star Zendaya. Also starring are Sadie Sink in an unknown role and Liza Colón-Zayas in a mystery role.
We’re not done yet as rumors also offer the true villain of the movie is Lady Chameleon.
While we’re add it, let’s add in Mark Ruffalo, who’s goofy Smart Hulk has been emasculated in the MCU, though rumors do offer the return of the Savage Hulk.
Joining them includes Tom Holland, of course, and adding in another superhero with no powers in addition to Yelena is Jon Bernthal‘s The Punisher.
Jacob Batalon is also set to return as Ned. Michael Mando is back as Mac Gargan and looks to be fully suiting up as Scorpion this time.
