Sony and Amazon Team For Spider-Man, Silk, More

Sony and Amazon are teaming up for the small screen where various Spider-Man spin-off TV shows will be happening including Silk: Spider Society which has been in development for some time.

The details include the Sony Amazon Spider-Man projects will be first released on the Amazon-owned MGM+, which as of January 15, 2023, will be the new brand and name of the EPIX channel.

Following debuting on MGM+, the projects will then be later available on Prime Video.

Regarding Silk: Spider Society, it will be a live-action series from showrunner Angela Kang who recently was the showrunner on MC’s The Walking Dead that comes to its conclusion on Sunday.

Spider-Verse creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be executive producers along with Amy Pascal.

Silk: Spider Society is based on and inspired by the Marvel Comics characters created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos. It follows Cindy Moon, a Korean-American woman bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker, as she escapes imprisonment and searches for her missing family on her way to becoming the superhero known as Silk.
