Secret Star Wars Series In Development From ‘Lost’ Writer/Producer

It’s learned a new secret Star Wars series is in development, which wasn’t announced at the recent Star Wars Celebration Japan.

What are the details?

In early development (via THR), a new Star Wars series is in the works from Carlton Cuse who is known for a plethora of quality projects in Hollywood including writing and producing Lost. Cuse is joined by his son Nick Cuse on the new series.

No plot details are known as everything is being kept under wraps.

Carlton Cuse is also known for The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., Nash Bridges, Bates Motel, The Strain, Colony, Locke & Key, Jack Ryan, Pulse, and the movie, San Andreas.

Nick Cuse is known for the Watchmen and The Leftovers series, which had Lost co-showrunner Damon Lindelof onboard.

What was announced at Star Wars Celebration?

The news comes ahead of tonight’s 3-episode premiere of Andor Season 2 on Disney+.

Star Wars Celebration Japan also saw the big news that Ahsoka Season 2 is in the works, with Hayden Christensen returning as Anakin Skywalker.

A Darth Maul animated series is in the works.

Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian & Grogu gets released on May 22, 2026.

Shawn Levy’s Star Wars movie is titled Star Wars: Starfighter, stars Ryan Gosling, and gets released on May 28, 2027.
