Sam Witwer Joins Supergirl

Sam Witwer has joined the cast of Supergirl Season 4.

The actor, known for Once Upon A Time and Being Human, will play Agent Liberty.

The character is described as: Agent Liberty is the ruthless and terrifying founder and figurehead of Children of Liberty, a hate group that supports a human-first world order. “[He’s] a brilliant orator in the guise of a family man,” the show’s producers said.

Sam Witwer also had a role in the Smallville series as Davis Bloome aka Doomsday and is known for providing voices for Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars video games.

Supergirl also features Smallville‘s Erica Durance (Lois) as Kara’s mother Alura Zor-El, and Laura Vandervoort (Supergirl) played Indigo in season 1.

Sam Witwer joins Jesse Rath who recently has been upgraded to a series regular for Supergirl Season 4 as Brainaic 5.

Supergirl Season 4 premieres Sunday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
