While Ryan Reynolds will not be appearing in the Logan movie, don’t rule out a possible Deadpool and Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie.
Reynolds has mentioned on more than one occasion that he would like to team up with Hugh Jackman, and now says more of the same while talking with Variety.
“I would love to play Deadpool for as long as they would let me play Deadpool,” Reynolds says. “We have outlines and stories for a number of different films.” The article also notes Ryan Reynolds “envisions a standalone movie with Deadpool and Wolverine.”
“I’m hesitating, because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit. But the timing may be wrong,” Hugh Jackman responded as he is set to play Wolverine one last time in Logan.
However, as noted, Ryan Reynolds isn’t giving up on the idea of a Hugh Jackman Wolverine and Deadpool film.
“I have no idea if I can change his mind,” Reynolds says. “It’s the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.”
“Logan” has a March 3, 2017 release; “Deadpool” 2 and “Deadpool” 3 are currently in development.
